Casa Lage consists of three distinct volumes, each featuring a four-pitched roof and serving a specific purpose. The varying heights of these volumes not only distinguish the identity of each space but also enhance the overall spatial experience.
The design process emphasizes maximizing the use of available space, balancing built environments with open areas, and establishing clear guidelines to create a cohesive hierarchy for the proposed solutions. The entrance door, protected by a light concrete canopy, serves as the access point to the interior of the house.
Inside, the organization of space is guided by the program, intended use, thermal comfort, and the qualitative relationship with the exterior environment. To the south are the social areas, which include the kitchen and living room, along with the bedrooms. In contrast, the northern section houses the functional spaces, such as the stairs, laundry, bathrooms, and storage areas.
